I dont know where you guys are getting the idea that it looks better then the doom3 or hl2 engine. There is not realy enough here to gudge it by.It does look very similar to ut24k as far as the models go.although it does does look promising.

I don't like the style:the enemy seems a ut2004 team model..just as much as the weapon and the forest enviroment...
I want Serious Sam..not another funny Unreal clone.
The texture of the ground doesn't seem bump mapped and the particle's effects in the explosions and fire seem on par with a b product not a first class one.
I hope it will be a good product but after Doom 3 and Half Life 2...the expectations of 3d shooter lovers are very high..

Hey, if Wanted to play D3 and HL2, i would, but SS was never ment to be realistic and just fine this way. The character don't look look like the one in D3, but if it's true that SS2 will have as much enemys on the screen as SS1 or even more, then try achive that in D3.
Oh, and weapon looks awesome!

This is Serious Sam! It's main gameplay is throwing thousands of enemies at you every which way. If it had super realistic graphics, the gameplay would be so super slow you wouldn't play it

Yeah, the game looks really nice, but this screenshot is ass. Terrible composition, doesn't show the monster-hoard capabilities of the engine, and the end of the guns touch and create a distracting, unclear area.
Graphics are good, but lets see something more spacially sound. Turning about 5 inches to the right would have greatly improved this image.

Anyways, SS is not really about super graphics, its about gameplay. The graphics though are great. the first serious sam still has great graphics compared to some games still coming out so you can't judge it.

some people say there is no AI in ss. but which other game has the enemy head to u straight in a hurry as it does in ss. that is what is really cool. that is what a wild animal does when he sees u.so i enjoy ss gaming and the innocent environment.
one idea about an enemy. can make a guy in rockstar's costume having a guitar and he attacks by playing it and attacks u like a current like the electric fish.

Serious Sam first ecounter - good.
Serious Sam second ecounter - well.
I thought that Serious Sam 2 will be best!!!...but I bought it and i think it is not.Graffic is brilliant , weapon is cool (YES !!!!!!!!),but it is'nt many monsters, secrets and in Serious Sam 2 are'nt new weapons!!!!!
(BUT IT MAYBE GOOD?)Look like Sam+Doom 3+Half-life 2+any other shooter.But all in all game is very well.Goodbye!

ss2 xbox uber sucks.
the textures look like quake2 n64 textures (= blurry as hell, the spider mechs don't look metalic at all) and there is no grass as shown on the box!! smooth terrain.
